Final Project Opportunity at VU’s Software House

Virtual University has been providing skilled professionals to the software industry since 2006.  As part of its continuously improving standards, VU has established a “Software House” which emulates the professional environment that graduates would have to contend with after completing their studies. Students are carefully selected and invited to complete their Final Year Projects at the VU Software House. Students are invited to apply for this valuable opportunity by 14-April-2015. Eligibility Criteria: ·         All BS(CS) and BS(IT) students in the 7th semester of their degree programs are eligible ·         Students must have achieved an effective CGPA of 2.75 or higher in their first 6 semesters ·         They should have achieved a B grade or higher in Introduction to Programming, Database Management System, Object Oriented Programming, Data Structure, Fundamentals of Algorithms ·         Student should have a minimum number of courses remaining for their final semesters Interested students may email at abuzar.awan@vu.edu.pk by 14-April-2015 Shortlisting and Interview Students who fulfill the criteria will be shortlisted and called for an interview by email. Interview Student will be interviewed individually by considering various technical skills such as: ·         Programming Concepts ·         OOP ·         DBMS ·         Data Structure ·         Analysis and Design of Algorithm ·         Software Engineering Coding Sessions After the interview, a coding session will be conducted for the candidates. The purpose of this session is to analyze the students’ analytical, programming/coding skills. Average grade of interview and coding session will be considered for final selection of the students. Successful students will be invited to join the Software House via email.
